A piece I did at this last San Diego Comic Con.... I was asked to just do a "Samuray Girl", so this is what I came up with.... the eternal question when drawing girls with armour is always the same... how much armor, how much skin? how do you keep it 'sexy' while throwing metal sheets on a girl's silhouette? ...with that said, Samuray armour is probably my favorite to draw though! :)

... the hardest part about being an artist I think is finding your groove, so I'd just say feel whatever feels natural... if you're happy with your path right now, why fix what's not broken? :)

don't get me wrong, DON'T try and reinvent the wheel... many of us try that in our 'youth hubris' and mistake it for 'originality', and it's just plain DUMB... if someone has done it better then you, LEARN it, then build on top of it... nothing wrong with standing on the shoulders of Giants! :)

the secret is to make what you learn 'yours'... don't just copy, but analyze, dissect... understand what makes it tick, then put it nack together as your own.

what's the saying: don't seek the Master, seek what the Master sought! :)
