Hellboy... stabbing stuff!by *Chuckdee

Some years back, we used to have "Iron Chef" challenges on Wildstorm's Artist old blog (Gelatometti) ... I believe the blog is still there, BUT we haven't posted quite some time.

... anyway, the idea of the "Iron Chef" challenges was, well, like the show that we took the name from!

... two artist (sometimes more) would go toe to toe drawing something that the fans had picked (on the blog itself) , and get it done within ONE hour, then post it and submit it to the fan votes.

in this case, the "ingredient" was good ol' Hellboy... I'm still happy with the drawing, BUT I HATE the way I did the blood (that was done the last minute of the challenge, so I was sweating it)... I should have kept the blood more graphic (and more as a design element) instead of so chaotic ...oh well!

This was originally done as an grey-scale inkwash piece... later I added a bit of Photoshop magic just 'cause!
