I recently did this commission and it got me pretty nostalgic! it had been a while since someone had asked me to do Grifter, so it was pretty cool getting to draw him again... with the Wildstorm universe now being absorbed into DCU, I don't know how things are gonna pan out long-run for WS core characters... I hope they find their audience over at DC and they don't end up in comic-book limbo.

I grew up with Jim's (Lee) Grifter, BUT it was when Travis (Charest) first drew him in a more "Metal Gear Solid" style that I was "THAT'S IT!!!" this Dude is Wildstorms Solid Snake... except with CODA training and Gen Factor!!! (for all you fellow WS nerds! :) ) ..anyway, here's Cole Cash being all sneaky!

oh yeah, this piece is all Pigma pens, Copic grey markers, and a bit of Photoshop for the 'red-glint'!

I always use Bristol for these... altho' honestly, it's been kinda' sucking lately quality-wise... bleeds A LOT!!! BUT thank you very much, glad you dig it! :)

Hmm wonder why the quality has decreased... well I think i'll give bristol board a go anyway to try it :)

who knows.... but I know a number of artist who've had the same problem... quality control isn't always consistent at paper mills.... go figure! :)
