Here's another collaboration between good friend (and fellow Deviant) Ed Nunez and Moi.... this was done for a "Green Lantern" game (Rise of the Manhunters)... as I said on previous collaborations I've posted (done by Ed and I); it's hard to see who did what, since we worked on quite a few of these together, and we developed a really good synergy.

The initial heavy-lifting of this one HAD to be Ed... he's got an AWESOME knack for big-powerful shapes. He'd often rough something down, then I'd go over tweak things, then define the more 'techy' stuff.

This was an awesome way to work because it allowed me to work in different gears and using shapes which I might not have though of using initially, so it's a really fun challenge AND keeps things fresh and creative (after designing a GAZILLION characters, things can get stale if you're not careful)

The final color rendering was me, BUT the initial heavy-lifting credit DEFINITELY goes to Ed! I miss doing these damn collaborations! :)

makes a refreshing change from the skintight forms that western comics are notorious for!

thanks Kelsey! :) ... altho a nice chunk of the credit goes to my good friend Ed Nunez (he's here on Deviant too), we'd usually work on these together, but the initial 'shapes' on this one are definitely Ed's! :)

Props to Ed! It's not as easy as it looks to make good big guys work

Sweet. It's like a burly Microman robot. Really dig all the layers going on with its chestpiece.
