I gotta say, when I was a kid desperately tearing open the packaging for GI.Joes, the thing I was looking forward to the most were the accessories... the figure was cool and all, BUT the accessories MADE the toy if you ask me.... what the hell is Snake Eyes without his UZI I ask??? or those AWESOME M.A.S.K toys without those little removable helmets???

... these accessories here weren't necessarily required for us to design, BUT I had a really hard time designing a 'faction' without thinking of some of their weapons... in this case, HIVE being a very high-tech army, I imagine all their stuff would be energy based, and their general shapes very 'hexagonal', linking it back to the 'honeycomb' shapes we used to construct most of their stuff.
